About Dr. Meena Zakher, MD
Dr. Meena Zakher is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in cornea and anterior segment. Dr. Zakher trained at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan, where he earned awards for surgical excellence. He then completed a Cornea & Anterior Segment fellowship at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital. Accepted directly from high school into a competitive accelerated BA/MD program, he graduated from both college and medical school with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society.
His practice includes cataract surgery (including complex cases and premium lens options), corneal transplants, LASIK, retinal disease, and glaucoma. He has presented research at medical conferences throughout the country. Service is central to his work—he has participated in service trips to Kenya, South Africa, Bolivia, and underserved communities across the United States. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling to new countries, and watching the New York Giants.
